Join us tomorrow 5/11 to help raise money for Oregon Humane Society’s Team Highway to Home!

Life of Pie will be donating 10% of our Tuesday’s sales from both locations to this organization that means a lot to us. So make sure to like and share this post so we can make sure as many people in PDX know about this event!

Just over a year ago Life of Pies owner Jason brought home Sancho from Oregon Humane Society, thinking he was bringing home a quarantine buddy for a few weeks. Literally the the last dog in the shelter, Sancho had a skin issue that left him looking scruffy and high anxiety that made it impossible for him to be around other animals. Team Highway to Home helped get Sancho the training and treatment needed to make a long lasting relationship and a forever home with Jason.

Team Highway To Home is composed of specially trained volunteers who do intake of animals, like Sancho, coming in from overcrowded shelter partners across the USA, and even Korea, to relocate animals in peril to safety. These animals, cats and dogs, come in scared, hungry, skinny, often with a disease like Sancho’s skin issues. Donations from events like this help cover the costs of animals coming in to be screened by an on-site vet, medicated as necessary with vaccinations, flea/heartworm treatments, food and water, along with soft blankets and toys for their kennels to help animals settle down and feel safe.

First off we have to say, we appreciate all of you so much! The continued support, positive feedback, and we get it you can’t get take out food every day!

There are so many ways you can help small businesses during this time that are free. Following your favorite places and liking, sharing, commenting, or bookmarking pictures here on insta is a great place to start. Simply hitting that little heart will make sure that businesses picture reaches the largest audience possible.

Leaving positive reviews on Google or yelp lets people know who your favorites are.

Taking pictures and tagging the business when you post, gives us something to share and exposes us to a wider audience of people. We know The food is in boxes and it feels weird to take a picture of it sometimes but it’s still such a positive way to share and, we love seeing and hearing from you ❤️
